YOUNG PEOPLE PERFORM THE CLASSICS
Eric Ásgeirsson, cello and Lisa Wang, piano
Two 15-year-old soloists, veteran guest artists at the Warren Symphony Youth Concerts, show their stuff at an adult subscription concert. We honor retiring orchestra member Laura Sias, with a massed performance by her Suzuki violin students.

Sunday, December 14, 2003, 3:00 pm
A CHRISTMAS KALEIDOSCOPE
Avondale High School Concert Choir; Kevin Cornwell, director
Traditional carol sing-along - excerpts from "Messiah" - favorite portions of "Nutcracker" - special readings - beautiful choral singing - even a goofy combination of "Jingle Bells" with "Stars and Stripes Forever"

Sunday, February 1, 2004, 3:00 pm
DUELING PIANISTS
Audience favorites Yuki & Tomoko Mack have discovered a little-known rarity: a concerto for one piano, 4 hands, by Carl Czerny, best known as the author of all those exercises that piano teachers love and kids hate. It turns out he was also a terrific composer, in the manner of Beethoven.

Friday, April 2, 2004, 8:00 pm
MOTION & MUSIC with the EISENHOWER DANCE ENSEMBLE
The last time Eisenhower Dance Ensemble performed with the Warren Symphony, every seat was occupied, and many people were turned away at the door! Stunning choreography by artistic director Laurie Eisenhower.

Sunday, May 2, 2004, 3:00 pm
THE RHYTHM OF TRINIDAD
Two old standbys and two brand new pieces, featuring the infectious rhythms of the Pan-Jumbies Steel Band..
